Control system for soil washing plant
The task:
A transportable plant for cleaning contaminated soil is to be handled by only two operators. The dangerous surroundings (poisonous gases, explosion hazard) call for a high degree of automation, also when faults arise.
The solution:
Control and procedural tasks were conceived and solved: Intrinsically safe and non-contact object detectors condition the input signals and lead them to two crosslinked stored programme controls (SPC). The control and the control strategies of various control circuits are implemented on these SPCs whereby the control circuits had to be elaborately designed due to the strong influence of disturbance variables. The status of the plant is made graphically visible with the aid of a PC which is connected with the SPCs. The symbols used for making the plant status visible are in line with German Industrial Standard regulations, all operating states are registered, diverse parameter sets (recipes) are managed and an operator-oriented error management is controlled. All throughput values are stored in a database and evaluated from a business management point of view. On completion, almost 900 measuring points will be controlled, actuated or regulated.
