Database supported acquisition of measuring data in environmental technologyThe task: Soil contamination was to be oxygenated with the aid of hydrogen peroxide. For this purpose, an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution is pressed into the ground through a large number of tubes (lances) which have been inserted in the soil at various depths. The pressures and volume flows must be documented for the purpose of controlling that the procedure is correct. The solution: The system is realised on a PC with the relational database ACCESS. All information concerning the lances, depths and other building site parameters are managed in the database. By means of a card with analogous measurement entries integrated in the PC, up to 8 pressing-in processes are registered at the same time, digitised, allocated to the respective lances and recorded. User guidance is menu-driven with graphical interface. Evaluation algorithms provide an overview of the state of decontamination at any time as well as a suitably composed and formatted journal printout. |
